Notes

In the 1870 census, Elender Adkison is living in the Malinda Orr household. Based on this I am determining that Malinda Orr's mother is Elender Adkison.


Decatur Co. TN land records, volume 8 - April 15, 1876
Malinda McClure sells 42 acres in district 1 to her daughter Sarah Fanning and children S. E. and P. E. Fanning.


In the 1880 census, Malinda is listed as Malinda McClure. Apparently, she remarried a McClure between 1870 and 1876 and her husband died before the 1880 census. I am tentatively connecting John McClure as her second husband based on age and proximity in Decatur Co. TN census records. I need to research this marriage further to confirm.


In the 1880 census, Elender Adkisson is also living in the household and listed as Mother and US Pensioner.
