FLORENCE (Alabama) - Bessie Dee Butler, 97, Bellview Road, died Monday, May 7,
1990 at Glenwood Convalescent Center, Florence.
She was a native of Lauderdale County, a housewife, a member of the Methodist
Church and the widow of Millard F. Butler.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Shackelford Funeral Home chapel,
Collinwood, Tenn., with Ernest Roberson and Emerald Bailey officiating. Burial
will be in Railroad Cemetery.
Visitation will be 6-10 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Survivors include her sons, Hobert Butler, Iron City, Tenn.; Elvin Butler,
Bobby Butler, both of Florence; daughters, Ida Olive, Grace Edwards, both of
Florence; Eva Roberson, Hartselle; brothers, W. L. Burns, Grady Burns, both of
Florence; the Rev. J. M. "Mack" Burns, Iron City; 20 grandchildren, two
step-grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren;
nieces and nephews.
Grandsons will serve as bearers.
