Notes

Services for Bobby Joe Butler, 73, Florence, AL, will be Monday, February 12, 2007 at 11:00 am at Shackelford Funeral Home Chapel, Collinwood, with Charles Winborn officiating. Burial will be in Railroad Cemetery, Iron City, TN with Shackelford Funeral Directors of Wayne County in charge of the arrangements. Nephews serving as pallbearers will be Stan, Russ, Steve, and Dennis Butler, and Kenneth and Michael Roberson. Visitation will be today from 5 pm to 9 pm and Monday, February 12, 2007 from 9 am until service time at the funeral home.

He died at E. C. M. Hospital in Florence on Friday, February 9, 2007.

A native of Lauderdale County, AL, Mr. Butler was retired from Hassel Ready Mix and was a member of Hampton Heights Baptist Church, Tuscumbia, AL. He was preceded in death by parents, Millard and Bessie Dee Burns Butler, brother, Hobart Butler, sisters, Ida Olive, Grace Edwards, and Eva Roberson, and daughter, Donna Vandiver.

Survivors, wife, Iva Jean Page Butler, Florence, daughter, Teresa (Rickey) Craig, Florence, son, Dennis (Sharon) Davis, Apple Valley, CA, grandchildren, Sarah Jo, Lauren, Wesley, Marc, Hunter, Bobbie Jean, Dory, and Ann, great-grandchildren, Bryce, Ethan, Briley, Caleb, and Andrea, brother, Elvin Butler, Florence, nieces and nephews.

Bobby was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, and friend and will be dearly missed by all.
