Caty was born about 1782 in Virginia and died about 1855 in Tipton Co. TN. They came to Roane County between 1801 and 1805. She married Moses Baskin on 16 Sep 1805 in Roane Co. TN. In the 1820's the Moses Baskin family moved to Tipton Co., TN. They settled near the Holly Grove and Burlison communities. They raised 4 sons and 3 daughters, most of them are buried in the Indian Creek Cemetery in Tipton Co. TN. The 1850 Tipton Co. census shows: Baskin, Catharine 68 F -- VA (Living with son Andrew Jackson Baskin).
