Civil War Pension File

1. Jan. 29 1890 age 49 resident of Olive Hill, Hardin Co. Tn

2. Enrolled Oct. 15, 1862 Company C 1st Regiment AL. Volunteer Calvary commanded by Capt. J. C. Latty. Discharged Jan. 15, 1863 at Corinth Miss.

3. Filed for Original Invalid Pension Jan. 29, 1890 at this time he was described as being 49 years old, 5 feet 11 inches tall, complexion fair, hair light, eye's gray. States that while in line of duty at Camp Davis, Miss in Jan. 1863 received injury to shoulder and ankle caused by being run over by a wagon. Also say's he contracted rheumatism from exposure at Camp Davis in the middle of Dec. 1862

4. Files again on May 10, 1892 say's he is resident of Weatherford, Wayne County TN
States he was shot in the left shoulder the ball strikeing in front and lodging against the left shoulder blade and remains there now while seriously effecting the left lung causing frequent hemmorage.

5. Files again April 23, 1904 say's he is a resident of Hardin Co. TN
States that received gunshot to left shoulder and was treated at a private house in Corinth Miss by a seargent for abt. 2 weeks when discharged and was then sent to Pulaskia ILL and there treated until well. Also states that he has lived near Olive Hill, TN nearly 22 years, some of the other time in AL. States that he is totally disabled.

Age 61 Resident of Olive Hill, Hardin Co TN
Files for claim under gunshot wound, weak eyes, and general disability.

8. Also states that he enlisted for 3 years but served only 3 months 18 days, being discharged after receiving gunshot wound.
