William C. Lacy, born January 31, 1928. Enlisted in the U. S. Army October 11, 1950, and served in the infantry. Countries served in were USA, Ft. Benning, October 1950 - May 1951 and Germany June 1951 - October 1952. Discharged October 12, 1952 with rank of private first class. Awarded the Army of Occupation Medal (Germany).

He is the son of Jess and Bessie M. Lacy. William has three children: Michael, Kathy and Marty.

William C. Lacy, 90, of Decaturville, Tenn., passed away Wednesday, July 18, 2018 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.

He was a retired auto mechanic, a farmer and a U. S. Army veteran serving in the Korean War.

Mr. Lacy is survived by a daughter, Kathy D. Lacy (Guy Dyer), of Decaturville; two sons, Michael D. Lacy, of Decaturville; and Marty W. Lacy (Brigette), of Decaturville.

He is also survived by four grandchildren, Matthew W. Lacy, Emerald Lacy, Brittney Lacy and Brandy Lacy; two step-grandchildren, Colton and Kaylee Dyer; and one step-great grandchild, Brayden Dyer.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jess and Bess Lacy; and two brothers, J. B. Lacy and Calvin “Pete” Lacy.

Funeral services were held at Reed’s Chapel in Decaturville, Tenn. at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 21, 2018 with Steve Douglas officiating. Burial followed at Mt. Lebanon Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers were: Wayne Lacy, Bradley Johnson, Casey Johnson, Joey Coats, Jeff Cupples and Colton Dyer.
