Sarah Orr Fanning (The Lexington Progress, February 21, 1919) Beloved wife of Alfred Fanning, aged 70 years on June 30th, 1918, died in her home in Lexington, February 14, 1919. She was married about fifth years ot the aged husband who survives her. To this union eight children were born, and Mrs. Allie Smith, the elder, died in Dyersburg, on the 6th of January. The remaining seven, all of whom were present when the end came to the mother they loved so well, are: John and Will, twins; Mrs. Lillian Jones of Dyersburg; Woodward, Bethel Springs; Edgar, Gleason, Walter, the youngest who lives under the parental roof and has been the mainstay of his aged parents during the long disability of his mother, and Elizabeth (Mrs. A. L. Goff), Bells, Tennessee.
