Jerry and Linda Butler

Dallas, son of Viola (Keating) Nunn, was born on April 8, 1906, in Stoddard Co., MO. His father was Albert Cates. Viola died when Dallas was four, almost five years old. He was raised by Oly and May after she passed away.

Dallas was first married to Sylvia Cox. They were married in the early 1920s. They were married for several years before divorcing, but they never had any children together. I am acquainted with Joyce Cato, who is one of Sylvia's daughters. Joyce told me that Sylvia was always fond of Dallas, even in all the years after they had divorced. She attended his funeral in 1992. Sylvia died in 2005 in St. Louis, MO; she was in her 90s, and she had suffered from Alzheimer's Disease for a few years.

Dallas' second wife was Sarah Clementine (Fopay) Keating, who was born on January 1, 1913, in Kennett, MO. She was my grandmother. Dallas and Clementine were married on January 1, 1942, in Poplar Bluff, MO. They had one child, my father, William Robert Keating. Clementine died on April 15, 1965, at her home in Dexter, MO. She died of acute leukemia, having been ill for 3 months prior to her death. She is buried in the Bloomfield Cemetery next to Dallas.

Dallas' third wife was Wilma Maxine (Borders) Keating. They married on October 4, 1969, in Poplar Bluff, MO. They divorced --- I'm not sure when --- but I know that Dallas was living alone in 1985, so it was before that.

Dallas died on February 3, 1992. He and Clementine are buried next to her parents in the Bloomfield Cemetery.

In the 1920 census, Dalas Keating is living in the household of his grandmother, Lidie Henderson.
