Mancil Woodrow Tucker entered the Army in 1942 and served in World War II. He was a staff sergeant.

He is the son of Garbriel and Emma Tucker.

Mancel Woodrow Tucker, 91, died Saturday, May 14, 2005 at NorthBay Medical Center after a long illness.

Mr. Tucker moved to Fairfield in 1959 after retiring from 23 years in the United States Air Force. He served in India and China during World War II.

He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Emma Blanch and Gabriel Newton Tucker; wife, Elida Tucker.

He leaves behind to cherish his memories, two daughters, Martha Andrews and Elizabeth John, both of Fairfield; three sisters, Mozell Scott, Agnes Tucker and Rudell Tucker, all of Tennessee; seven grandchildren, Elizabeth of Vacaville, Jason and Amy of Sacramento, Kelli, Karen, Ryan, Frank Jr. all of Fairfield; seven great-grandchildren, lots of nieces and nephews.

Visitation and viewing will be held at 1 p.m. Monday with services to be held at 2 p.m. at the Fairfield Funeral Home. Burial will be at the Suisun-Fairfield Cemetery. Reception to follow at 2200 Julian Lane, Suisun Valley.
