Shared note	Obituary for Nancy Ivy Nancy Jane Burton Ivy, age 80, of Decaturville, Decatur County, TN, returned into the loving arms of our Christ Jesus on June 23, 2017 after an extended battle with an illness. Her devotion to her Family and her Faith in our God sustained the struggle and ultimately provided her rest. Miss Nancy was born to the late Doc and Ruth Burton of Perryville, Tennessee on March 25, 1937, graduating from Parsons High School in 1956. Nancy continued her education by receiving a degree in dental hygiene from the University of Tennessee at Memphis in 1958, embarking upon a career that would touch many lives. Nancy was blessed to marry her devoted and loving husband, Paul Hays Ivy, on April 6, 1958, with that union producing 2 daughters, Elizabeth Jane Ivy Carpenter and Emily Ruth Ivy Renfroe. From within a home filled with the Holy Spirit of God, Nancy nurtured, taught, and devoted herself to her family, friends, and community. Always one for selfless service, Nancy has impacted countless lives through her example of love, caring, and devotion to family and faith. Nancy was a devout Christian and will be dearly missed by those that have come in contact with her but also celebrated and comforted by the knowledge that she is at peace with her Creator and Savior. Nancy Ivy is survived by her devoted husband, Paul Ivy, her blessed daughters, Elizabeth and Emily, her beloved grandchildren, Ivy Renfroe, Ellen Reed, Anna Hubler, Brandi Cooper, Brooke Sweat, Allie Gregory, and Haley Carpenter, and her great grandchildren, Brandon, Blaine, and Emma Cooper, and Sadie Todd, brothers, James H. Burton and Joe Burton, as well as a host of nieces, nephews and other cherished family and friends. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving sister, Betty Burton Laster. Miss Nancy’s earthly body will be laid to rest at Concord Methodist Church Cemetery following a celebration service at Bath Springs Missionary Baptist Church on June 25, 2017 at 2PM with Bro. Danny Adkisson officiating. Visitation will be on Saturday from 4PM-9PM and Sunday from 10AM-12PM at Reed’s Chapel in Decaturville. The family covets your prayers and thoughts of Miss Nancy as they rejoice in her life and in her final rest.
