Per Land Deeds in Bedford Co. TN, James Garrett died before 1814.
His sister Martha Garrett Kelly also died in Bedford Co. TN.
His brother Hosea Garrett died in Bedford Co. TN in 1827.

Page 146- 26 Apr 1830. Dorcas Garret of Bibb Co. Alabama widow and relict of James Garret,
late of Bedford Co., Tn Dorcas Garret for $1.00 paid by her son Asa Garrett of Bibb Co. , Alabama,
granted unto him all the dower and third of all other properties, land in Bedford Co., on Waters of Duck
River. 110 acres. It being same which was deeded by Jonathan Webester to the heirs & c of James Garret, deceased.
Wit; J.B.Clark, J.Erwin and John G. Ackin. Reg; 24 May 1831.

Garrett, deceased, in Bedford Co. on Waters of Duck River, the place where the widow Garrett then
lived. 110 acres.
