Nealous L. Montgomery, born March 18, 1926. Enlisted in the U. S. Army in 1944. Countries served in: European 1945 (WWII). Discharged in 1946 with rank of private first class. He is the son of Oscar W. and Euda (Lancaster) Montgomery. Married to Geneva (Keeton) Montgomery and has four sons: Jimmy, Bobby, Gary and Donny Montgomery; and one daughter, Pamela M. Pearcy.

Nealous Lee Montgomery

DECATURVILLE, TN - Mr. Nealous Lee Montgomery, 81, of Decaturville passed away Monday, September 10, 2007 at Decatur Co. General Hospital.

Mr. Montgomery was born March 18, 1926, the son of the late Oscar and Euda (Lancaster) Montgomery.

He was a World War II Veteran serving on the European front, he was a former pipeliner and owned and operated his own business for 50 years. Presently he was an owner in N. L. Montgomery & Son Sawmill and cattle farms.

He leaves his wife of 59 years, Geneva (Keeton) Montgomery. Other survivors include a daughter, Pam (Kenneth) Pearcy of Decaturville; four sons, Jimmy (Brenda) Montgomery of Camden, Bobby R. (Diana) Montgomery, Gary Neal (Debbie) Montgomery, and Donny Joe (Ginger) Montgomery all of Decaturville; sister, Mary Lynn Butler of Decaturville and a half sister, Betty Ann Jordan of Sevierville. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, five great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by brothers, W. R. and Harold Montgomery, two infant brothers and a sister, Melba Martin.

Funeral services will be conducted at Decaturville First United Methodist Church at 3:00 P. M. on Tuesday, September 11, 2007 with Steve Douglas and L. H. "Cotton" Ivy officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery near Bath Springs.

Visitation will be from 9:00 A. M. until 1:30 P. M. at Reed's Chapel in Decaturville and from 2:00 P. M. until time of service at Decaturville First United Methodist Church.
