Services for Frances Weems, age 78, of Cypress Inn, TN will be 3:00 PM Sataurday, October 24, 2009 at Railroad Methodist Church with Emerald Bailey, David Skipworth, and Roland Parrish officiating. Burial following in Railroad Cemetery with Shackelford Funeral Directors in charge of arrangements.

Grandsons, Kyle Hardin, Neal Weems, Daniel Herring, David Herring, Mike Weems, Jr., and Jared Weems will serve as pallbearers.

She was a daughter of the late Edward and Martha Butler Montgomery. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James E. Weems, Sr.; 3 sisters and 2 brothers. A homemaker, Mrs. Weems in previous years attended Mt. Pleasant Methodist Church and more recently was a member of Rhodesville Freewill Baptist Church. She was a member of Disabled American Veterans serving as a member of the commanders club.

She is survived by two sons, James E. Weems, Jr. and Mike Weems, Sr. both of Cypress Inn, TN; a daughter, Pam Hodge of Haleyville, AL; 7 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Faye Caudle of Florida and Jewel Dickerson of Florence, AL;
