Eddie Wayne Smith Eddie Wayne Smith, 69, of Decaturville, Tenn., passed away Saturday, May 6, 2017 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital. He was a US Air Force veteran, retired cook and engineer on a towboat and had run his own plumbing and electrical business for several years.Eddie is survived by his wife, Phyllis Smith of Decaturville; a daughter, Kim (Kent) Whitwell of Parsons; a son, Bubba (Wendy) Smith of Darden; and a sister, Carol Blankenship of Decaturville. He is also survived by five grandchildren, Anna (Drennan) Mayberry of Murfreesboro, Alex and Avery Whitwell, Colby Smith and Jocelyn Conrad, all of Parsons; and one great-granddaughter, Addison Marie Smith. Eddie was predeceased by his parents, Eddie and Margie Smith. Funeral services were held at Reed’s Chapel in Decaturville at 2 p.m. on Monday, May 8, 2017 with Bro. KevinBromley officiating. Burial followed at Decaturville Cemetery.
