Martha married Robert James Montgomery and they had eleven children. John married Lucy Montgomery after Catharine's death some time after 1859. Lucy married Capt. Byrd Newman after John's death about 1867. In the 1860 census, S. Montgomery, 24, inmate; E. J. Walker, 21, inmate and school teacher; M. M. Walker, age 19, school teacher; and J. C.
