Johnson, H. M. (The Lexington Progress, June 6, 1941) Dead After Long Illness: H. M. Johnson, aged 82 years, died in his home in Decaturville on June 3rd, 1941. He was twice married, the first time to Miss Mary Eason of the Scotts Hill community, who died many years ago. The surviving children of this union are Walter, Coy, Asa and Mrs. Aggie White of Scotts Hill; Fate of Oklahoma; Mrs. Frank L. Johnson of Jackson and R. L. Johnson of Lexington. His second marriage was to Miss Cora Montgomery. The surviving children are Mrs. Frank Hardin, Scotts Hill; Dr. Glynn Johnson of Shreveport, Louisiana, and Matthew and Harold of the U.S. Army. Funeral services were held at Liberty Methodist Church near Scotts Hill.
