LORENE “PETER” SPAIN Ms. Spain, 72, of Decatur County, died Saturday, November 12, 2011, at Decatur County General Hospital. A funeral service was held Monday, November 14, 2011, 2:00 p.m., at Tomlin Chapel Baptist Church, with Mark Mays officiating. Burial was at Peace Chapel Cemetery. She was the daughter of the late Gracie Inman Brawley and Author Farris Brawley. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Randy Rosson; a daughter, Donna Mae Rosson; three brothers, James Brawley, Wylie Brawley, and E.T. Brawley; and three sisters, Daisy Webster, Virginia Brawley, and Mary Priest. Survivors include four sons, Bruce Rosson, Greg Rosson, and B.J. Johnson, all of Parsons, and Danny Rosson of Pineview; three daughters, Jeannie Taylor and Leanne Box, both of Parsons, and Cathy Keen of Savannah; three brothers, Author Brawley, Jr. of Beacon, Brown Brawley of Parsons, and Robert Brawley of Kentucky; four sisters, Alleen Brawley of Dyersburg, and Martha Garrad, Dorothy Dollar, and Linda Mays, all of Parsons; twenty-one grandchildren, twenty-eight great-grandchildren, and one great, great grandchild. |
